Coolibah is located in Pearcedale, Victoria and they supply us with baby spinach, salad mix, rocket, kale, Asian greens and occasionally broccoli. They are certified by the ACO (Australian Certified Organic) and they are a large-scale farm with over 2000 acres of land in Victoria and near the NSW border.
Coolibah Herbs was formed in the early 1980s by Michael and Jenny Bogicevic. Its evolution was the natural progression of an enterprising market gardening business that initially began growing a variety of vegetables and herbs on a 45 acre farm, selling the produce off the back of a truck in the Melbourne Wholesale Market.
In the early 1990’s, Mesclun, otherwise known as Salad Mix became the new culinary thing (that’s when iceberg lettuce and curly parsley became very uncool) and being the innovators that they are, Coolibah followed this lead and became one of the first growers, and with the increasing demand lead them to pursue large scale production.
Coolibah Herbs believes that ecologically responsible farming practices and the production of healthy organic vegetables is the way of the future in horticulture. Consumers have the right to be provided with produce that is healthy, tastes real and has no detrimental effect on the environment.
