COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 Response

Thank you to our customers and community for your support. We're continuing to monitor our COVID reponse and Safety Plan, following all department and Worksafe recommendations. Please read below for our recent update.

We would like to say confidently that we can avoid COVID in the workplace, but we can only do our best and there are no guarantees. With the rising cases we need to prepare for days where we are short staffed and limited produce is available if our suppliers are unable to deliver.

We understand that this puts pressure on the team and customers, but we’re confident we can get through this and will make business decisions as they arise to ensure that we look after everyone as best as we can.

We communicate to customers through our newsletters and email – please glance over these and stay up to date and sign up to our email newsletter if you have not already. If customers fail to catch our emails, then important information gets missed and puts pressure on our admin team. Any changes that directly affect your delivery we will email, text or call you.

 Our office hours for 2022 are 9am – 4pm.

We’ve always followed strict guidelines on cleaning, hygiene and hand washing in the workplace, but even more so now. Our drivers sanitise before and after drops and our packing team are hand washing and sanitising between packing orders. Face masks are provided for our team. After every shift extra cleaning and sanitising is taking place. Our staff are isolating when not at work and know stay home if unwell..

We are doing no contact delivery, drop and run and our delivery app will give you an ETA of your delivery. Our drivers have masks and hand sanitizer and vans are thoroughly cleaned after each shift. They will give you a friendly wave from a distance if you catch them.

If you are a regular customer, please leave out your used box for collection.

Scientific and medical studies have shown that COVID-19 does not last longer than 24 hours on cardboard. As we're getting boxes returned a week after delivery and then we don't re-use them for a week after they're returned, we've decided to start taking boxes back so we can re-use. Packaging is a huge cost for a small business like ours and we can make this work, considering all safety and health concerns.

Prices on fruit and veggies are increasing and fluctuating. Market price increases as the demand increases and we will need to adjust our prices accordingly. We will be ensuring that we adapt the boxes accordingly with best available produce but we may need to change box contents last minute.

Organic eggs are currently limited.

We recommend you store away your fruit and veggies correctly. Please refer to our Produce Storage Tips or the fridge magnet given on your first order. We also have tips on Instagram and Facebook.

We’re committed to looking after you and providing the excellent service and organic produce for which we are known for. We’ve also felt vulnerable and saddened by these times, but we believe the human heart and spirit has a great capacity to love and show courage, hope and trust. We’re all in this together and somehow, somewhere, something greater is at work.  If you have ordered with us, please join our Customer Community Page, we can band together and support each other with recipes and resourceful tips.
